Home Owners Association Walk
August 2004

There was a recent walk through the neighborhood by the Homeowners Association. We noticed several Covenant violations, but for the vast majority, homeowners are doing a great job keeping our community looking great. We are sending this letter to give the people the chance to correct these issues without having to act further.

Below are issues we would like to see corrected.

  1. Lawns in need of attention. Weeds most common problem, curb appeal is important to the upkeep of our community.
  2. Beds and Islands need care.
  3. Several Homes need Bushes and Trees trimmed.
  4. Garbage cans left in front of House.
  5. Cars parking on grass. Second request!
  6.  Garage doors are in dire need of paint.
  7. We have had complaints from the neighborhood that back yards are not being kept. Junk, Trash, etc. Please be considerate of you neighbors. They have the right to enjoy their back yards as well.

If you as a member of this community have other issues you would like addressed please contact a board member. Enforcement of Covenants is easier to enforce if the community is behind the board. We are not paid to be on the board and help from Home Owners is welcome and appreciated.

We have “Restrictive Covenants” and “Mandatory Dues”. Covenants are for the protection of everyone’s property value and when people fail to comply it hurts everyone in the community’s property value.

If you do not have a copy of the covenants please contact us we will provide you with a copy or you can download a copy. Saying you were unaware of the covenants is not an excuse. When you purchased a home in Stoney Brook you signed a legal document at closing that you would comply with the covenants!
